Shannon Moss Leaving Maine Department of Public Safety
After over five years on the job, Shannon Moss will soon be leaving her position as the spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
According to a press release sent out by Moss on Wednesday afternoon, her last day in the position will be on Thursday, October 29th.
Beginning Friday, October 30, Major Aaron Turcotte will take over as interim Public Information Officer while the department searches for a permanent replacement.
In March of 2021, Moss took over the position from Steve McCausland.
Even before she took on her role as the agency's spokesperson, Shannon Moss was a well-known person across Maine. For over two decades, she had covered major news stories in the state. She first worked for ABC affiliate WMTW and later went on to work for NBC affiliate WCSH/WLBZ.
