Augusta is known for hosting big events like the Ironman, which bring athletes and visitors to the city each year. But besides the Ironman, there are other ways for the community to get outside and enjoy the city together.

One of those events is The Color Run, a colorful and energetic run taking place on Saturday, May 23 at 12 PM in downtown Augusta, Maine. This event gives people another fun opportunity to get active while experiencing the beauty of the city.

The Color Run is different from a traditional race. Instead of focusing on competition, the goal is simply to have fun. Participants can run, walk, or even dance their way through Augusta’s historic downtown along the Kennebec River.

Along the route, runners will pass through several color stations, where bright colored powder is tossed into the air, covering participants in vibrant shades as they move through the course. With music playing and people cheering, the atmosphere feels more like a festival than a run.

Events like this are a great way to bring the community together. Friends, families, and neighbors can all participate, making it a welcoming event for people of all ages. It also encourages people to get outside, stay active, and enjoy the scenery of downtown Augusta.

Overall, the Color Run is another exciting way for Augusta residents to celebrate their city. By combining exercise, music, and color, the event turns a simple run into a memorable experience for everyone involved.

While we hope this event is amazing, we have spoken to some people who have concerns about the validity of the company.  There have been several BBB postings that mentioned people have been charged for events that never happened.  We have reached out to both Color Craze and the City of Augusta for comment, but have not heard back as of yet.
