Have You ‘Squeezed the Pig’ at the Dollar General in Auburn, Maine?

Is this trivial? Yes. But did it make me laugh so hard that I created abs on my own stomach? Yes.

It's all about the little things in life that make you feel good. Those tiny moments that give you pleasure and amuse your senses. I think so.

This happened to my wife and I last night at the Dollar General in Auburn, Maine.

It was a small, quick moment that created so much laughter and a little bit of embarrassment for the rest of the evening.

We were on our way to our son's wrestling practice, and noticed our phones were out of juice. We still had a long evening ahead and didn't have a charger, so we scooted over to the Dollar General on 807 Minot Avenue in Auburn.

We both ran into the store, grabbed our item, and headed to check out.

As we approached the counter, I immediately noticed a large yellow plastic pig sitting there with the words "SQUEEZE ME" on its back.

So, being the little rascal that I am, I looked over to my wife with a mischievous twinkle in my eye and she says, "Don't do it, Elizabeth." But do I listen? Nope. I dive right in, because that's just who I am.

So there I am, staring at this piggy that is literally begging me to squeeze it, and no one's around. It's the perfect setup, right?

So I squeeze. And I don't give it a gentle one, I give it a long, hard, heavy squeeze with purpose. I am squeezing this pig with intent and purpose.

And we were both expecting a cute little squeak or maybe an oink.

But oh no, not this pig. Not my pig. What blasts out of it?

A fart. A full-on, rip-roaring fart sound. We both lose it, laughing like hyenas.

Then, to make it even better, the lady finally shows up, probably thinking, "Oh, here we go again with that damn pig." Classic!
