Forecast Models Showing Potential For ‘Plowable Snow’ in Mountains of Maine This Weekend

Is everyone all geared up for their big Memorial Weekend festivities here in the Pine Tree State?

Make sure you have your burgers, beers, camp chairs and portable speakers all set to go. And, if you're going camping, don't forget to get your campers opened up and aired out in advance so that you're ready to pull out of the driveway and head to camp on Friday.

Oh, and don't forget to gas up the snowblower! Yes, I know that it's the end of May and we've already mowed the lawn about 5 times already because of all the rain, but we've had snow events in June here in Maine before so can we really be all that surprised?

According to a post from one of my favorite social media follows, The New England Weather Guy, it looks like much of New England is in store for what could be a nor'easter this Memorial Day Weekend.

And according to models that New England Weather Guy is looking at, there is potential for actual plowable snowfall this weekend. Now, let's be clear, it's not like the entire state is going to be buried under a foot of fresh May snow.

However, what could happen is a decent amount of snow could fall in far western and northern Maine. It likely wouldn't stick around for long at all, but it could be just enough to drag the plow trucks out of retirement for an hour or two.
