Guys, check it out, there is a gorgeous, historic, massive home up for sale at the moment, sitting pretty in Paris Hill, Maine for sale, according to Maine Listings.

This house on 543 Paris Hill Road, listed by Fred Greenwood at Keller Williams Realty, has nine bedrooms and sits on just under 2 acres of land! It’s going for a steal at $125,000. Say what?

If you are not familiar with the buying market right now, this is a steal! The price is well below the state's medium home price. But, there’s a bit of a tiwst.

More about the home first. It’s called the The Amos Armsby House and was built a very long time ago in the year 1812. It’s a federal-style home and is almost 5,000 square feet. The house is so historic that it is on the National Register of Historical Places.

The old house was built by Amos Armsby, who was a housebuilder and a War of 1812 veteran, according to WGME. The news station reported that he lived there until 1815 when a cabinetmaker named Joseph Lindsey moved in.

So here's the extra caveat: the house needs major repairs in order to be livable!

“It needs serious foundation work, It’s for someone with a deep pocket," Fred Greenwood told WGME.

Here’s a little information on exactly what the house will need to be livable.

It has no working wiring, heating or plumbing, and the barn is in ruins! However, it does still have it’s original features like wood trim, pocket doors, brick fireplaces, and a sunporch. according to the listing.

It’s gorgeous and you can absolutely see it’s potential.

So above paying the purchase price of $125k you will also be throwing in to fix up the entire place.

The current owners purchased the house three years ago. They cleared the clutter and started renovations, but the project became too big.

Now they’re ready to pass it on! IF you are interested, you will have free reign to restore this house as you wish. Fred Greenwood hopes the right buyer will fix it up and restore the historic home!
