Maine Restaurant Unveils World’s Largest Lobster Roll at a Whopping $189.99

When it comes to seafood, primarily lobster, Maine is the world's foremost destination for all things sea-meat. However, we also know that it comes at a price- a really big price.

Not only is Maine home to the best lobster on planet earth, we are also now home to the largest lobster roll anywhere.

According to a Facebook post from the Taste of Maine Restaurant, they are ready for the busy tourist season with the 'World's Largest Lobster Roll'.

The Taste of Maine goes on to explain that their massive meat missile of a lobster roll contains a staggering 1.5 pounds of fresh-off-the-boat Maine lobster meat and is served with piping hot fries and watermelon.

That's quite a pile of food and, at least we assume, that could feed a few people all at once. But, what's the price tag for a colossal lunch like this? Well, according the Taste of Maine, $189.99.

Sure, that sounds expensive, but think about what you're getting for the price. I mean, you'll probably need a to-go box...or 2. Maybe they can break it down into 12 easy payments? Just kidding.

As you can imagine, the photo of the roll, along with the menu price, brought on a slew of comments on their Facebook page.

As much as I love lobster… I can’t fathom the price. I can go to the beach and buy twin lobsters for 17.59.. or lobster roll buy one ( MP ) and get one half off. ( with fries or onion rings) and won’t cost me my grocery bill. But I bet that does taste great..
