The food scene in Portland continues to pop off in all the right ways and right now we are welcoming a new spot to add to your list.

If you are visiting Portland, you’ll now get a chance to pop into Mandy & Matt’s Café! Created by two locals, you guessed it, Mandy and Matt!  

This fresh new spot on Forest Ave opened recently and the cafe has already brought plenty of customers!  

But this isn’t just another breakfast/lunch spot. There is a why behind the creation of this fresh restaurant. 

What sets Mandy & Matt’s apart?

They’ve seem to have created more than a menu, they’ve created a vibe.

“Kathy and Dave’s” was a Portland restaurant for over 20 years but the popular spot closed a few years ago due to some challenges, including Kathy’s health and she sadly passed away in 2021.

Mandy is her daughter and is picking up where her family left off, creating her own café with her husband Matt. That is how Mandy & Matts was born.

While Mandy & Matt’s Café has its own vibe, it's family that is the heart of this brunch spot.
