Having amassed an impressive social media following for a 'diner', it's no wonder why Moody's in Waldoboro, Maine continues to top my Facebook feed. But, I suppose, even if you have been around since 1927, you still want to remind people that you exist. Though based on the parking lot at any given day or time, I wouldn't necessarily say that business has been slow.

But what many people don't realize, is that Moody's Diner is much more than just a historic place to stop and grab a delicious bite to eat. Moody's is actually a LOT more. In addition to the massive diner, Moody's also has an ice cream shop, an array of cabins and even a motel.

Perhaps one of the most popular things to evolve out of Moody's Diner (aside from the food obvi) is the construction of the Diner's nationally famous gift shop. According to their website, the gift shop, stocked with all kinds of Moody's and Maine merch alike, was opened back in 1998 and has been a hit ever since.

So if you haven't had the chance to get out and explore and what was once just a couple little cabins and a small roadside diner, I would urge you to do so. Not only is it a great place to 'grab a bite', but you can make a whole weekend out of it by renting a cabin or motel room.
