A New American Lung Association Report Says Maine is a Great Place to Breathe

According to the latest clean air report from the American Lung Association, Bangor, Maine, has the cleanest air in the United States.
In this year's State of the Air report, Bangor is the only city in the U.S. to remain ranked on all three of the cleanest city lists, including ground-level ozone (smog), short-term particle pollution, and year-round particle pollution.
Maine City Gets All A's for Air Quality from the American Lung Association
Bangor earned an A for ozone and short-term particle pollution, and is listed among the 25 cities with the lowest year-round particle levels.
Past reports have included as many as half a dozen metros that ranked on all three lists.
Last year, it was down to only two, including Bangor.
But this year, Bangor's air quality stands alone as the cleanest in the country.
The ALA calls the findings a 'grim indication' of the worsening air quality.
We'd rather think it's just another thing to be thankful for, living in Maine.
