This Orono spot has been serving locals for decades, and now the world knows it’s a hidden gem!

C.D. "Pat" Farnsworth opened Farnsworth's Cafe in Orono, Maine in July 1931. In 1953, Pat added pizza to the menu. Flash forward to 2026, and Pat’s Pizza is a staple, with 13 Maine locations, in Holden, Newport, Auburn, Yarmouth, Scarborough, North Windham, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Hampden, Bar Harbor, Presque Isle, Machias, Sanford, Dover-Foxcroft and the OG spot, at 11 Mill Street, in Orono.

Pat's Orono is so beloved, and iconic, I personally know friends who refuse to go to any other Pat's location. The loyalty is just that intense!

It has become a go-to spot for University of Maine students and locals alike, serving up crispy pizzas, cheese breadsticks, and a menu full of mouth watering treats, keeping the original spirit alive.
