Open Farm Day at Litchfield, Maine, Farm With Free Baby Goat Snuggles
Anne Seeber and her husband own Iron Leaf Farm. They have Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, ducks, chickens, and geese. Every year on the first Saturday of May, they have a big Open Farm Day event. This year, it is Saturday, May 4, from 10 am to 4 pm (with a rain date of Saturday, May 11).
It's kidding season, and they expect to have lots of goat kids born by the time their Open Farm Day is held! Prepare yourself for all the feels. It's a fun day of goat kid snuggles, visits with the other animals, and the chance to shop local farm vendors and craftsmen!

Having had the chance to snuggle a baby goat kid, I can't recommend this enough. Not just for your own kids, but for you and YOUR own nervous system. Nothing is more soothing and just plain loving.
Over 30 vendors are at Iron Leaf Open Farm Day – BRING CASH!
Last year, over 700 people came to see the baby goats and all the vendors, grab a fun bite to eat, and visit the bake sale. You can't get more Maine than this. This year, they will also have Spirits Place Community Cat Sanctuary from St. Albans, and Wilderness Miracles Wildlife Rehab from Bowdoin. You may just find something you MUST have, but do bring cash, as a lot of the vendors can't do electronic payment.
Get ready to have an amazing experience with lots and lots of snuggly love.
