Top Spot Secured: Massachusetts Named No. 1 State in America to Live in for 2024
Are we talking activity-wise or financial-wise, because as a frequent Boston visitor, I can confidently say that both are extremely expensive there. While I love Boston, calling it the number one state in America to live in might be a wild thing to say. Financials and opinion aside, WalletHub compared all 50 states across five categories to determine the best one to live in, and Boston took the #1 spot.
What formula did they use to determine the best & worst states to live in?
Well, according to WalltHub, the site compared all 50 states across five key dimensions: affordability, economy, education and health, quality of life, and safety.
Okay first of all, if you even breath in Boston, you're accidentally spending $10 just because you're awake. Have you ever tried to park in that city? The signs contradict themselves, and go one minute over on the meter, and your car is gone to the tow gods. Again, I love the city with all of my heart, but I'm unsure I can see Boston being the most fit for the common person to afford and be happy in nowadays. Sure, the city is fun, but I think they took a big miss by not adding Maine to the list.
Everywhere is expensive to live now, but at least in Maine, you'll know where your car is when it gets towed after parking in a 15-minute zone too long, lol.
