Maine Restaurants

For newbie residents, tourists, or anyone in between, there are certainly no shortage of delicious spots to eat any meal during the day in Maine, no matter the type of food or location throughout the state.

Midcoast to mountains, coastal to the Canadian Border. Seafood, pizza, brunch, vegan, burger -- there truly is something for everyone, everywhere throughout Vacationland.

Which can be both a blessing and a curse, because while you can go anywhere near or far for deliciousness, because of that exact deliciousness, odds are you'll be in for some kind of wait before being seated.

Although, for some spots, there could be some short of secret to help you get seated faster, like this possible cheat code at Sea Dog Brewing in Topsham just over the Frank J Wood Bridge.

Topsham Sea Dog

Not only does the Sea Dog in Topsham have a killer view since the deck extends out over the Androscoggin River right near a waterfall and rapids, but, much like the other Sea Dog locations scattered around Maine and New Hampshire (can't speak for the ones in Florida), it also has a killer menu and beer selection.

But delicious food and drink selection aside, what creates a top notch experience at the Topsham Sea Dog for most customers is the staff. Just super friendly from the time you walk in until the time you leave (usually with a full stomach and a box of leftovers.)

Speaking of amazing staff, it's very possible that a link to New Hampshire and one of the hostesses at the brewery could get you seated quicker than normal.

Because while she'll remain anonymous, on the off chance this one woman is your hostess and asks for a cell phone number to send text updates, experience has it that if your area code is linked to New Hampshire, she'll 'get you seated quicker.'

And, for what it's worth from first-hand experience by this writer, what was said to be a 25 minute wait turned into a quick 10-15 minute one before being seated at a table.

Now, odds are this isn't an actual cheat code to getting seated quicker and was simply just the case of a hostess being personable and great at her job, but on the off-chance this actually works, give a Granite State number and see what happens.
