Alright this is cool, and I know animal lovers who love getting random tattoos will appreciate this.

Get a flash tattoo, and you're instantly contributing to giving pups in shelters a better life.

A local tat shop called Dark Harbor Tattoo downtown on Exchange Street in Portland is returning this year for another round of Tats 4 Tails.

According to their Facebook event, this will be their fourth year since they started the tradition of accepting flash tattoos to help out the doggos in need.

How many times have you said this sentence to your friend when you were bored? "Let's go get a quick random tattoo".

Some of you have never said that, and it shows, however, I know tons of you who read that and laughed because you have. This would be the perfect time for you to do that random little tattoo for some spontaneity, and your money will be very well spent if you choose to do it at these locations on Saturday, October 16:

  • Dark Harbor Tattoo - 39 Exchange Street, Portland
  • DarkHarborSouth -1200 Broadway, South Portland
They're also setting up multiple locations around Maine to accept donations to the Animal Refuge of Greater Portland if you want to help out without getting inked up. Here's some additional locations accepting donations and please tell your friends!
Venom Ink, Sanford (where I personally get my tattoos done, love these dudes).
Golden Scale Tattoo, Fairfield
Dark Harbor, Portland/South Portland
Highbrow Dispensary:
Topsham, Rockland, Bath, Manchester (ME), Augusta

Proceeds for this event will be going to Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland and the Midcoast Humane Society.
