For Five Weekends Only, A Magical Pumpkin Patch in Maine Comes to Life
For so many people, a fond childhood memory is watching the classic Peanuts special "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". In that animated short, Linus waits patiently in hopes that a pumpkin patch will come to life and the mythical "Great Pumpkin" will deliver him gifts.
While Linus' dream never becomes a reality, there is a real-life place here in Maine that promises their own version of a 'magical' pumpkin patch. In fact, for five weekends only, they promise a whole lot more than that for those looking for family-friendly Halloween fun.
That would be Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp and Resort in North Monmouth, Maine. They're bringing back their annual Halloween celebration for five consecutive weekends starting on September 20.
For 2024, there will once again a slew of activities planned for every weekend. Families can partake in decorating their campsite, trick-or-treating through the campground as well as enjoying a casual hay ride through the park. There's also an adorable golf cart and bicycle Halloween parade that kids can't get enough of.
If you're looking for something a little bit more frightful, Jellystone Park will have a haunted trail filled with ghouls and goblins (and perhaps a few other surprises as well).
And of course, there's the magical pumpkin patch. Kids remain amazed and astounded by the magic at Jellystone Park. Kids grab a pile of seeds, cast a spell on their plot and when they wake up in the morning, the magical pumpkin patch delivers them a full grown pumpkin.
The Halloween festivities at Jellystone Park run each weekend from September 20 through October 20.
