According to WMTW, a small store in Lewiston, Maine, has been the crown jewel of lottery sales in Maine for 5 years running, including 2024. Lisbon Street News sold $2,163, 205 dollars worth of lottery tickets last year. No one seller in Maine topped $2 million.
The biggest seller for Lisbon Street News remains scratch tickets. The small store sold more than $1.5 million dollars worth of scratchers last year.
Maine Had Lots of Unique Big Winners in 2024
Scratch tickets remain a practical favorite in Maine because one simple scratch could net triple figures into your bank account. According to the Maine Lottery, there were 92 unique winners in the state last year that won a prize of at least $100,000.
May was the luckiest month in 2024 for big ticket lottery winners. 13 different people scored $100,000 dollars or more prizes during May of last year. July, August and October tied in second with ten $100,000 dollars or more winners.
