According to the Maine Turnpike, any driver is eligible for a discount on tolls along the Maine Turnpike as long as you have an active EZ Pass account. From there, how you acquire discounts depends on two factors: how often you use the Maine Turnpike and pass through tolls, and how many transponders you have associated with your account.

EZ Pass Discounts Come With Usage

If you're a small business or an individual that finds themself passing through a ton of tolls on the Maine Turnpike, you reward could be some substantial discounts. If you make 30 to 39 trips through tolls in a given month, your account is credited a 20% discount. 40 or more trips through tolls in a given month nets you a 40% discount. That discount level could take some of the sting out of $2 tolls.

If you're not aware, you can use your Maine issued EZ Pass in 16 different other states on more than 40 highways, bridges, and tunnels. Some of those highways are also eligible for the volume discount if you're a consistent commuter.
