It feels like the entire month of May in Maine has been gray and gloomy. Despite plenty of April showers that were supposed to bring May flowers, there hasn't been quite enough sun shining to see a full bloom.

Mainers are always hopeful that Memorial Day weekend will be the unofficial kick off to summer in the state. Over the last few years, it has served as that with very solid conditions and temperatures.

This year? Better pack your umbrella and a few sweatshirts.

Maine is Currently Stuck in a Bad Weather Pattern That Shows No Signs of Breaking

Shared on social media by Ryan Breton, the month of May has seen Maine being stuck in one depressing weather pattern that seems to enjoy torturing the good citizens of New England.

Rather than enjoying a handful of days in the upper 70's, Maine has struggled to even come close to a number that begins with 7. Not consistently anyway.

Making matters worse, the conditions are ripe for rain. Even if that is sporadic showers.
