Summer in Maine has arrived. Everybody knows it's going to fly by quick, which means if there are things you want to do, you best get to planning and experiencing them before the chill of fall begins to set in.

For some, that will mean plenty of adventure on Maine's rivers or in the mountains. But for others, a truly enjoyable summer evening consists of live music, a good bite to eat, and a delicious cocktail.

That's why a beer garden oasis hiding in plain sight may deserve your attention. Despite a few hiccups when it first opened last year, this little hideaway now appears to have things figured out.

That would be Quarryside at Rock Row. Situated next to the enormous quarry that is the centerpiece of the development, Quarryside has been built up and smoothed out for 2024. There's a semi-permanent tent structure filled with seating, lawn games, and a stage for occasional live performances.

Quarryside boasts a Lone Pine drink station featuring a selection of craft beers, wine, and craft cocktails. During the weekends, at least one food truck sets up shop near a series of fire pits and Adirondack chairs so that you can sit, relax, and enjoy.
