When it comes to a cuisine that is an absolute crowd pleaser, I think it's Italian food. Who doesn't dig a nice Spaghetti Bolognese or fresh pizza out of the wood fire oven? People can't agree on most things but I think most of us can get on the same page that Italian food is one of the most elite cuisines.

Each restaurant has their claim to fame

I am by no stretch a food snob but I love trying new restaurants and discovering what their claim to fame is. Some restaurants take great pride in their unique and extensive wine menu. Some boast about their award winning meatballs. Some have a very Instagram able aesthetic.

Italian food equals celebration

In my family we always associate Italian food with a celebration. Growing up if we got good report cards we got to go out for pizza. Now if my husband and I are celebrating a milestone anniversary we go out for a nice Italian dinner and let the red wine flow!
