This time of year makes New Englanders so happy for so many reasons.  The daffodils are sprouting out from their Winter beds, the birds chirp in the morning and Ceal's in Seabrook makes their announcement that they will open soon.

This NH Clam Shack Has Been Women Owned for Four Generations

Ceal's is female owned and has been that way for four generations.  The original owner didn't want to rely on a man for her money, God love her.  At that time to even think that there was another way other than to bat your eyes at a man, is to be applauded.

Ceal's announced their opening day on their Facebook page.

Opening weekend is Friday, May 22nd at 4:30pm and I bet there will be a line!  After that, their weekend hours will be:

  • Fridays, 4:30 - 8pm
  • Saturdays 11:30a - 8pm
  • Sundays:  11:30 - 7pm

They are located just up the road from Hampton at 54 River Street, Seabrook Beach, NH.

Some comments on their Facebook page really each the sentiment of anyone you talk to about Ceal's:

Wish you opened sooner. Love your clams. My favorite place for years. I can't wait!

Remember when you go to Ceal's, make sure you get the onion rings.  Their clams are amazing, there is no doubt, but the onion rings are sometimes the craving that I am looking for and no other place can match 'em.  Holy moly, they're good.

Iconic Diners in New Hampshire

There’s just something about a diner… the coffee that never stops coming, the same booth people have probably been sitting in for 30 years, and a breakfast that somehow hits every single time.

As I’ve been getting to know New Hampshire, one thing became very clear — this state LOVES its diners. And not just any diners… we’re talking iconic, been-here-forever, locals-swear-by-it kind of places.

So I went down the rabbit hole (and got very hungry in the process) and pulled together some of the most iconic diners across the Granite State.

Did we get your favorite? Or are you already mad we missed one? 😅
