Can You Guess the Most Stereotypical Meal in Massachusetts?
Now this is an interesting concept.
It's no secret that we have a loud and proud foodie population here in New England, and with good reason. Our restaurant industry is killing it right now, and there's never a shortage of new establishments opening their doors to the public. You can never run out of places to visit for your next dining experience, especially in Massachusetts.
But when it comes to specific meals, which one do you think is the most stereotypical in the Bay State? Thanks to a website called 'alot.com', we now know. The platform shared a list of the most stereotypical meals in all 50 states, including Massachusetts. Before looking at the findings, this writer guessed that the answer would have something to do with seafood. Clam chowder, perhaps? Certainly not lobster, as Mainers tend to (rightfully) lay claim on the dish (but that's a topic for another day).
Drum roll, please...
To the surprise of literally no one, the most stereotypical Massachusetts meal is clam chowder. But wait, don't go just yet. If you're in the market for some of the best clam chowder around, you can't go wrong with these three popular seafood restaurants in the area. Have you been to any of them? What are your thoughts?
