Lobstermen Rescued a Deer Five Miles From Shore
According to WMTW, this exhausted deer was rescued by some of our fine Maine lobstermen five miles from shore.
According to fisherman Ren Dor's Facebook page, he and the crew were about five miles off the coast of Harrington when they spotted a deer in the water.
The crew was able to rescue the tired deer and bring it aboard the boat.
After resting during the half hour boat ride back to shore, the crew pulled up snug to the beach and released the deer.
This was the ultimate catch and release mission. This story just made me so happy. I'm sure this sweet deer probably won't be swimming again any time soon.
Thanks to Ren Dor and his crew for this amazing rescue. XO
