Well this is pretty amazing! According to Channel 8 WMTW, the University of Maine just broke multiple world records, by using a 3D printer to construct a 25-foot boat.

A representative from the Guinness Book of World Records will be in the state soon to confirm that two world records were broken - largest 3D printer, and largest boat ever produced by a 3D printer.

The University of Maine posted a time-lapse video of the construction of the boat to YouTube, and you can watch it below.

3D printing really is pretty incredible technology.

According to Wikipedia, the concept of 3D printing was originally laid out by David E. H. Jones back in 1974. And while it took quite a while to finally take off, the technology has advanced substantially within the next few years.

If you could 3D print something, what would it be? Let us know, with a comment on the Facebook post!
