
Portland, Maine’s Harvest on the Harbor Returns With Lobster, Oysters & More
A beloved Portland tradition is making its return this fall.
One of the city’s most popular culinary events, Harvest on the Harbor, is back for its 20th year from October 15th through the 17th. The three-day celebration puts Maine’s incredible food and drink scene in the spotlight, bringing together talented local chefs, bartenders, creators, innovators, and makers for a delicious showcase of what the state has to offer.
What is the History of Maine's Harvest on the Harbor Festival?
Originally launched in 2007, Harvest on the Harbor continues to be one of Portland’s premier annual events, especially fitting given the city's outstanding and ever-growing culinary reputation.
The 2026 edition will feature these three major events:
Opening Night: Happy Hour with the Maine Distillers’ Guild — Thursday, October 15, 2026
Enjoy Maine-made spirits at this epic happy hour featuring the distillers behind these remarkable drinks. Experience demos, tastings, and items available for purchase. It’s the perfect way to start the weekend.
The Maine Lobster Chef of the Year Competition — Friday, October 16, 2026
Lobster lovers, this one’s for you. Some of Maine’s finest chefs will compete for the title of Lobster Chef of the Year. Guests will sample each dish, enjoy local beverages, and even help with the voting.
Maine OysterFest with The Maine Oyster Company 2026 — Saturday, October 17, 2026
Celebrate and devour delicious Maine oysters at this fun event. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy one of Maine’s finest foods. And the price of admission includes 18 oysters!

I must say, these sound like some great events. But that’s not surprising coming from Harvest on the Harbor. These events are always memorable and tasty. So, if you get a chance to attend one, it’s highly recommended.

How Can You Get Tickets for Harvest on the Harbor?
Ticket prices vary by event and can be purchased through the Harvest on the Harbor website. Special pricing will be available through August. All events are 21+. These events tend to sell out, so don’t wait too long to grab your spot.
