Can you recall a time when there were so many hold-ups being reported in Southern Maine? This is getting pretty scary. We are definitely not used to this around here.

Last night the Amato's on Pleasant Street in Brunswick was a target. This is along with two other incidents yesterday according to News Center Maine.

Here's the press release from the Brunswick Police Department Facebook page:

The Brunswick Police are currently investigating a report of an armed robbery that occurred on 4/11/18 around 9:43 PM at Amato’s Restaurant, located at 148 Pleasant Street. An unknown white male walked into the restaurant and pulled a scarf over his face. He then displayed a black semi-auto handgun and demanded money. The male was last seen running west on Pleasant Street. The Freeport Police K-9 unit responded to assist, but the male was not located in the area. The male appears to be between 5’5” and 5’11” tall, lightly tanned, wearing dark colored grey or black jeans, sneakers with white colored soles, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black or dark grey zippered windbreaker. The man was also wearing what appeared to be black disposable examination type gloves. One witness noted the man had distinctive multi-colored eyes and thick eyebrows.
