The Taste of Maine Is Here: 2026 Restaurant Week Officially Begins

It’s a week full of delicious plates, creative cocktails, fun with family and friends, and full bellies. Folks, Maine Restaurant Week 2026 has officially begun.

What is the History of Maine Restaurant Week?

This incredible celebration of local food and drink began in 2009. Created by Gillian and Jim Britt, the annual festival gives Mainers the chance to experience our state’s amazing culinary spirit. Maine Restaurant Week was designed to encourage diners to explore local eateries while boosting restaurant traffic during the winter months. The event has quickly become a favorite among both food lovers and the local restaurant industry.

Maine Restaurant Week offers an opportunity for Mainers to enjoy special menus at local restaurants, attend incredible events, and support a great cause: the Preble Street Resource Center. Through ticket sales and sponsorships, the event has given back significantly to an organization that plays a vital role in supporting the local community.

The 2026 Edition of Maine Restaurant Week Has Begun

Kicking off now and running through the 12th, Maine Restaurant Week has something for everyone this year.

You can find restaurants all the way from Kittery to Old Town participating in this years' Maine Restaurant Week, giving Mainers ample opportunity to experience delicious dishes from some of the state's best chefs.
