So, what if we tried to combine the two?

Well, thanks to artificial intelligence—everyone's favorite topic these days—we can now pinpoint which destinations around the world most closely resemble our home state of Maine.

Can AI Determine What Countries Are Most Like Maine?

I decided to head over to ChatGPT and ask it a very specific question. I wanted to know which countries it thought were most similar to Maine—places that appreciate nature, have great food, stunning scenery, rich culture, and that cool, laid-back vibe we're so lucky to have here.

I must say, ChatGPT came up with quite a list—one I was genuinely impressed by. The AI generated 10 countries from around the world that it believes compare extremely well to Maine.

Outside of Canada, every country on the list is located in Europe, which isn't all that surprising considering the similar climate, lush landscapes, emphasis on local ingredients, and friendly people.

Honestly, it's a great list—one where I would legitimately love to visit every single country, especially considering I've only been to two of them so far: Canada and Ireland. So, I guess I have some trips to plan.
