Maine State Police K-9 Finds Man Hiding Under Tarps in Litchfield
If you're going to play a game of hide and seek with the police, the K-9 is going to win every time.
39-year-old Daryl Hersom was wanted by the Maine State Police on five warrants and had a history of evading police. They got a tip that he was back in Maine after he ran off to Florida to hide at his mother's.
Police got permission to search his home in Litchfield from his live-in girlfriend. They didn't find him, but they weren't fooled. They knew he was around somewhere.
Enter K-9 Bella and Trooper John LaCoste of Maine State Police Troop C. Bella put her nose to the ground and quickly found Hersom under the back porch hiding under a bunch of tarps. Nice try.
Hersom was arrested and taken to the Kennebec County Jail where he posed with a smile and without a shirt for a police.
Didn't this guy grow up watching Scooby-Doo? For a Scooby snack, he could always find the bad guy dressed up as a monster. Mystery solved Bella! Well done!
