Maine Voters Reject Bear Baiting Ban [PHOTOS]
In what was one of the most contentious and controversial issues facing Maine voters this election season, Question 1 to ban bear baiting was rejected at the polls, according to WMTW.
The Portland television news station reported the ballot question that would have banned the use of dogs, bait and traps to hunt bears except in cases of public safety or research was shot down by a margin of 53 percent to 48 percent with 66 of Maine precincts reporting.
In a BLM poll that was posted in September, Blimpsters also rejected the proposed bear baiting ban by the same margin.
