Based in Augusta, but serving several Maine communities, Central Church is known for their huge outreach events.  Their Memorial Day weekend service in Capitol Park, the Easter Egg Drop, and Serve Central.

These events are about more than just promoting a message.  The events really are about helping those in our community.  Serve Central, for example, is all about tackling community cleanup and beautification projects that other do not have the time or money to deal with.  The Memorial Day weekend event always includes a free BBQ, free haircuts, a shoe giveaway, and more.

For several years during the mid-2010s, Central Church put on a huge Christmas celebration at the Augusta Civic Center.  These events included snacks, hot chocolate, free family photos, live music, and a Christmas-oriented message.  They did these incredibly popular events for several years before they moved in a different direction.

The team at Central Church has announced that they are bringing the popular event back this December.

This year's event will include: hot coca, coffee, snacks, a kid's program (for the little ones), a family photo booth, the story of the birth of Jesus, live music, and more.

One of the coolest things they plan to do is a live-sized snow globe.  The event page describes it as:

A Christmas room transformed to look, feel, and be as if you and your family are walking inside a snow globe.

There will be two sessions for the event.  4 PM and 7 PM on Friday, December 23rd, 2022.

It is important to remember that this event is completely free and it is open to the public.  You can get more details about the event HERE.
