Blue skies (for a while) and lots of great live blues music filled the air this past Saturday the 13th at the Ballpark in OOB.

This was the first live concert event at the Ballpark since Santana rocked OOB in July 1997! The owners of the venue are hoping to bring more live music to the space in 2015.

They are off to a good start as 6 amazingly talented local and national blues acts took to the stage located right on the ball field. Spirits were high as teens thru retirees came out in full force to support the event. The rain moved in around 5pm but it did not put a damper on the folks who stuck it out until the end.

The afternoon featured live performances from The James Montgomery Blues Band, Mike James and the Blue Lions, The JCW Experiment, Rockin' George Leh, The Cowell Brothers Band and Beyond Reason. Props to BLM Weekend Personality and host of our Sunday Morning "Maine Blues Project" show Chris Robertson for doing a fine job hosting the day. This looks like it will be annual event. Here's hoping that word holds true.
