The road to Super Bowl 50 in the desert will definitely go right through Gillette Stadium throughout the playoffs after the Denver Broncos lost to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.

After taking care of business on Sunday against the hapless New York Jets, the New England Patriots have earned a first round playoff bye. More importantly, the Divisional Playoff game and potential AFC Championship Game will be played in Foxborough where the Patriots have only lost one AFC title game to the Baltimore Ravens in 2013.

All of these developments have rendered Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills a moot point for both teams, but it is a safe bet that Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick will us this game to keep his team fine tuned on all sides of the ball. It is possible that backup Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo could get some reps if the Patriots build a sizable lead over the Bills who will be playing for pride after they were recently eliminated from the playoffs.

Overall, the Patriots have put together a fantastic season that everyone expected coming out of training camp and their solid play should serve them well as they make another march toward the Super Bowl in January.
