The New England Patriots are flying high after winning their 11th AFC East Division title in the last 12 seasons and maintaining their status as the AFC's top team. Meanwhile, their next opponent, the New York Jets, have been in a season-long nose dive.

But don't assume for a minute the Patriots will have an easy time dispatching the J-E-T-S in Rutherford, N.J., on Sunday. For some reason, the Jets and head coach Rex Ryan always manage to give the Patriots a tough game.

The Jets simply have nothing to play for and nothing to lose. The Patriots want to win their final two remaining games against the Jets and Buffalo Bills at home so they will have home field throughout the AFC playoffs.

For the Patriots to win, the offensive line needs to man handle the Jets front line and not allow their linebackers to pressure Tom Brady. If Patriots running backs LeGarrette Blount and Jonas Gray can run the ball effectively, it will be a long day for the woeful Jets. The Patriots should be able to bring plenty of pressure on Jets QB Geno Smith and could end up with some interceptions courtesy of former Jet Darrelle Revis.

Opening kick off is at 1 p.m. Be sure to catch all of the pre-game coverage and game coverage on WBLM 102.9, the Maine Patriots Rock Radio Network.
