Pats Could Clinch Bye This Week

Considering all the injuries that have hit the New England Patriots roster this season, they could sure use a week off before the playoffs. That possibility could be a reality this week.The Pats control their own destiny at this point but will need some help if they are to secure a first round bye on Sunday.

The two scenarios that would result in getting the Pats a bye first start with winning their game against the Tennessee Titans. That combined with a Denver loss at Pittsburgh would clinch the bye.

Scenario two includes a Patriots win combined with a Bengals loss at San Francisco and a Broncos tie against the Steelers.
