After a couple of unusually warm days, extremely cold days, and some more snow, just because the meteorological winter has ended, it’s still very much winter here in Maine. The fresh snowfall gives the perfect backdrop for Westbrook Winterfest 2022 this Saturday, March 5th.

This is a fun-filled family event that all goes down in Westbrook’s Riverbank Park. The event begins at 10 am and goes until 2 pm. During that period the giant inflatable slide, bounce houses, and castles will be open for the kiddos.

From 10 am until 1:30 pm check out the Snowman “Heart of Fire” S’more Station. You’ve never roasted marshmallows like this before. This isn’t your average campfire. This is a big wooden snowman and you can roast your marshmallow in the heart-shaped space in his chest that has an open flame.

Also during that time are face painters and caricature artists. First come first served. Westbrook Police’s K-9 teams will be present for demonstrations and to answer questions about what it’s like to work with a 4-legged partner.

There’s a ton of live entertainment going on at Winterfest as well such as the Maine Middle Eastern Ensemble, Dave Godowsky, Ned DeBary, as well as open mic opportunities!

Amelia Aglow will be there as well with her trusty hula hoop. This isn’t your basic hula-hooping action, though. Amelia hoops with fun lights, flames, and so much more! Steve Corning aka Showtime Steve will be performing as well. Comedy, stunts, juggling, and more!

The fun doesn’t stop there! From 10 until 12:30 check out the Pony X-Press petting zoo! Featuring goats, baby goats, a mini horse, a mini donkey, and alpacas!

There’s so much more to be experienced at Winterfest. To get the full list of events and details click here.
