Francis Wathier scored the biggest goal of the season for the Portland Pirates as it beat the Manchester Monarchs and forced a game 4 in their playoff series.Wathier found the back of the net with just 2.9 seconds to play in the game giving the Pirates a 3-2 win. The victory prevented a sweep in the best-of-five series which continues Thursday at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.

Portland trailed the Monarchs 2-1 early in the second period but tied that game just before the second intermission.

Pirates goalie Louis Domingue stopped 31 shots to pick up the win.
