This was the view outside of our windows here at One City Center last week. The weather has been unseasonably warm so these holiday wreaths seemed even more out of place.

When the snow was flying and the store fronts were dolled up for Christmas these wreaths brought me great joy and dressed up an otherwise plain exterior. But it's March,  and now they look sad and forgotten.

Captain and I sent out a plea on the BLM Morning Show for someone to please take them down. I was hoping that the Valentine's Day Bandit might do us all a public service solid and collect old Christmas decorations while they were out putting up their hearts Nope.

I wondered how they got the wreaths up there and how they would take them down. A blue cherry picker arrived and transported a dude up four stories to pluck the wreaths from the building. It was over in about fifteen minutes.

How did the wreaths not blow away all winter? My outdoor Christmas tree fell over at least once a week and I lost the wreath on my door a couple times too. I would love to know their secret for keeping the wreaths attached to the building and preventing them from landing on Monument Square and possibly taking someone out.

The Christmas decorations are gone and I think that the building is now like a pretty girl without makeup, still beautiful.
