State and Auburn Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fight in an Auburn parking lot that left one man dead.

Auburn Police first learned of the altercation just after 8:30 Wednesday night, when they were called to 138 Center Street, which is a McDonald's parking lot. Witnesses told them that, before they arrived, several people had fled the scene in a vehicle. 21-year-old Roger Cornell of New Bedford, Massachusetts was found injured in the parking lot. He was transported to Central Maine Medical Center, where he later died.

On Thursday, police arrested 22-year-old Trai Larue of Lewiston, and charged him with murder. He was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail, where he will remain until his first court appearance.

An autopsy will be performed on Cornell's body on Thursday.
