Mounds of trash and tons of alcohol - Buxton had finally had enough and closed Pleasant Point Park.

What the hell is the matter with people? If I had done anything like this, my dad would have asked, 'Who the hell do you think you are?' Great question. Who the hell do you think you are that YOU can disregard the rules? That YOU can drink in a public park then just throw your liquor bottles and your beer cans?

The Buxton Police Department posted on their Facebook page a frustrated post. But they can't call people idiots, like I'm sure they wanted to. They had to use words like, 'disappointing' and 'regretful'. It's disgusting and whoever is responsible should be ashamed of themselves. But I'm sure they are not.

Apparently. this has been happening over several weeks, the complete disregard for park rules. Plus, large gatherings just itching to get Maine's coronavirus numbers to go up! Plus, these idiots (I can use that word, I'm not with the police department) threw rocks other debris at boaters.

The weekend of July 11th and 12th was the final straw. Park caretakers cleaned up 336 empty beer cans and bottles, 92 soda cans, 21 liquor bottles, 15 rubber floats, and bags upon bags of trash. This left them no choice, but to shut the park down.

The gate is locked, and there are signs posted and guess what? THEY WENT BACK! 40 were sited for trespassing and 3 had to be arrested because they were resisting arrest. The idiots (again, I can call them that) went back. To be clear, not one of those arrested was actually from Buxton. Some were from out of state and the rest were homegrown idiots. I'm glad you were caught and police say, they will keep arresting people. Just stay away so they can reopen it!
