Maine's pro soccer club, the Portland Hearts of Pine, took the state by storm with its exciting play and one of the best fan experiences in the league. Fitzpatrick Stadium had never experienced this kind of energy in its nearly 100-year existence.

Not only was the entire season sold out, but Portland led the league by a wide margin in attendance. The Hearts averaged 5,829 fans per game this season, a whopping number. The next highest club was the Richmond Kickers with 4,416. That means Portland averaged more than 1,400 additional fans per game compared to the second-place team. That is pure domination.

How Popular have the Portland Hearts of Pine Games Been?

Speaking of domination, Portland now holds nearly every attendance record in the league. According to Transfermarkt.us, the 5,829 average is the best single-season mark in the seven years the league has existed. Maine also broke the single-game attendance record when 6,440 fans packed the October 21 matchup against Spokane. And finally, the 87,439 total fans who attended league games this year set a new all-time league record. It was complete and utter domination by Maine fans. It’s simply astonishing to see how well this team was supported in year one.

So, what’s expected in year two? Pretty much the same, but with more tickets available…though they still won’t be easy to get.

Year two is expected to be another full-season sellout. There’s still a season ticket waitlist, so single-game tickets will come at a premium.

When do 2026 Portland Hearts of Pine Tickets go on Sale?

If you’re interested in grabbing single-game tickets, get ready — they go on sale TODAY. They’ll be available starting today at 6 p.m.

Tickets start at $25 and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis online at tickets.heartsofpine.com. The team is encouraging fans to mark their calendars and be ready when the clock strikes 6 p.m. today.

Hearts of Pine also announced that more tickets will be available this season, including a special Goal Zone standing-room-only section, which goes on sale Saturday, March 16, at 6 p.m. These will also be sold on a first-come, first-served basis online.

Finally, the Hearts are offering a Last Chance Ticket Application for those who have not had success securing tickets. Fans can complete a short application on the team’s website and submit information about the game or games they wish to attend. This application process opens March 24 at 11 a.m. and will remain available throughout the year.

March is shaping up to be a busy month leading into the upcoming season, with the first home game scheduled for Saturday, April 11, as the Hearts look to build on their 2025 semifinal finish.
