Portland IS “Staycationland”, According to New Survey. Do You Staycation?

WalletHub compared 180 cities and based on 43 indicators, they ranked the top Staycation cities in the country. Portland came in at number 14. We were number four overall in the recreation category,  Honolulu, HI came in first, we are keeping good company!

Greater Portland has plenty of opportunities for sight seeing, museum visiting, hiking, swimming, eating, entertainment and relaxation at prices that most can afford.

I am The Queen of Staycationing and love every second of three of our beautiful seasons. I'm not a huge fan of winter but enjoy it through the magic of Hallmark Channel Christmas Specials.

I love going to the beach; O.O.B. Ferry Beach, Scarborough Beach, Higgins Beach, Ogunquit Beach, Crescent Beach, Bayview, Biddeford Pool...I could just go on and on because they are all unique and gorgeous.

Summertime concerts are so amazing as are drive in movies and dinners under then stars.

Friends with camps invite us to go boating and tubing. Museums and theaters provide a cool respite from too hot weather or rain. We also have bowling, indoor carting and golfing, shopping and tourist-type eating to keep us entertained.
