Sound the alarm! The Portland, Maine, Fire Department has some slick new vehicles.

If you're driving through the area, you may notice a fresh-looking ladder truck for Ladder Company 3 that was recently delivered to the department.

Thanks to a Facebook post from Allegiance Fire & Rescue, the Enforcer 1500 GPM 107’ Ascendant aerial is more than just a powerful-sounding name. And the list of details about the new rig in the post would probably make any rescue vehicle enthusiast or the firefighters getting the ladder truck super excited.

Hot Dipped Galvanized Frame rails and liners? 400 Gallon Water Tank? 1500 gpm ladder pipe with 30 degree store front blitz operation?

I'm not sure what some of those things are, but they sound wicked sweet.

The Portland Fire Department stated in a Facebook post that the new Ladder 3 vehicle was delivered back in September and crews would be getting training soon after to use it.

But that's not all.

The City of Portland, per a press release from October that the Portland Fire Department included in a Facebook post, also revealed that the fire department was getting two new fire engines as well.

Fire Chief Keith Gautreau noted how important these new vehicles would be as he stated in the press release that the department was on track to answer 18,000 calls.

Now that's a lot of calls!

Wish you could buy your own fire truck? They would probably cost you a pretty penny.

Both the new fire engines cost $710,000 and the ladder truck hit a cool $1.2 million, according to the City of Portland press release.

Hopefully, these new vehicles and features that come with them help out the brave firefighters that will be using them each and every day whether it's a warm summer day or a cold winter night.

Either way, be on the lookout for them out and about in Portland.
