A Mainer Is Competing on This Season of Big Brother
Summer just wouldn't be the same without the thrill of CBS's hit reality show, Big Brother, and fans can finally rejoice as the wait is almost over. Sure, it might be starting a tad later this year, but after all, it's still Big Brother!
The excitement peaked on Monday with the big announcement of the 16 contestants who will be vying for the coveted title of Big Brother 25 champion. With the season premiere set for Wednesday, August 2nd, we're counting down the days until we can indulge in our favorite guilty pleasure.
Not only will one lucky contestant win the ultimate bragging rights, but they'll also walk away with a jaw-dropping $750,000 – the stakes are high, and the competition is sure to be fierce.
This season brings a diverse cast to the Big Brother franchise. Among the 16 houseguests, we have some remarkable firsts that deserve recognition. For the first time ever, the house will welcome a hearing-impaired contestant, as well as a Sikh houseguest. As if that wasn't exciting enough, this year's cast also includes Australian and Appalachian candidates.
While all the contestants are worthy of support, there's one houseguest that we Mainers can root for this season—Reilly Smedley. This 24-year-old bartender is from Portland, and although she's now living in Nashville, our support for this 207 native knows no bounds. Let’s go, Reilly!
With the famous tagline "Expect the unexpected," Big Brother 25 promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with twists, turns, and surprises at every corner. We can't wait to see the alliances form, the drama unfold, and of course, supporting one of our own!
Good luck, Reilly, and to all the contestants—may the best houseguest win (as long as it’s Reilly)!
