WMTW reported that the Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs, which represents 25 fairs, announced this weekend which fairs won't be happening this year.

These are the fairs that have been canceled for 2020 and will be back in 2021:

  • Acton Fair
  • Harmony Free Fair
  • Houlton Agricultural Fair
  • Litchfield Fair
  • Monmouth Fair
  • Northern Maine Fair
  • Ossipee Valley Fair
  • Topsham Fair
  • Waterford World's Fair

Some of the biggest fairs in Maine have not cancelled...yet. They are 'evaluating their situation':

  • Bangor State Fair
  • Blue Hill Fair
  • Clinton Lions Fair
  • Common Ground Country Fair
  • Cumberland Fair
  • Farmington Fair
  • Fryeburg Fair
  • Maine Farm Days
  • Oxford County Fair
  • Piscataquis Valley Fair
  • Skowhegan Fair
  • Spingfield Fair
  • Union Fair Maine Wild Blueberry Festival
  • Windsor Fair

The Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs said that they are considering the safety of fair partners, participants, guests and community members. It's not promising for any of these fairs to be open. Our fair season runs from June through the beginning of October with the daddy of them all, the Fryeburg Fair.
