Sleep in $65 A-Frame on Top of Boulder in New Hampshire Near the Most-Climbed Mountain in the USA
Here's something fun you may not know about New Hampshire: we have the most-climbed mountain in the United States and the second most-climbed mountain in the WORLD.
This is Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey and Dublin, New Hampshire.
Some would argue it is the most-climbed mountain in the world. However, an outsider article claims it is number two, behind Mt. Fuji in Japan.
At any rate, that is a serious accolade for the Granite State. Western New Hampshire is beautiful. I went to college out in Rindge, right in the Monadnock Region. During the fall, the location is second only to the White Mountains.
The Monadnock Region has a lot to offer, from beautiful walking trails to hikes, foliage, and camping.
This is often an underrated area to camp in, because most people in New Hampshire or the surrounding states will simply head north to the North Conway/Lincoln area.
Below is a brand-new 2022 A-Frame campsite, located in the heart of the Monadnock Region. The setting is perfect to enjoy fall foliage or camping in the summer.
You are super close to Mount Monadnock if you plan to hike, or you can stay at the campsite and relax.
Either way, I found this campsite to be perfect. First of all, it is only $65 a night. That is dirt cheap for an A-Frame. Most "glamping" sites will be $100+.
You need to check this place out.
The campsite is "a micro shelter A frame (6x6) atop a rock platform with soft flooring, natural light and built in screens to enjoy the views & sounds of nature," according to the Hipcamp page organized by the owner, Amber C. "Queen size air mattress set up (large enough for 2 adults that are 6’ or under), bring your own blankets & pillows."
Check out the Hope Hill Haven A-Frame below. It's less than two miles to the nearest lake for swimming and fishing, near the mountains, and is a family-friendly site with glowing reviews.
