Some Maine Voters Get Free Daycare and Bus Rides Today
According to WMTW, there's plenty of support for Mainers who want to vote today. Greater Portland Metro will get you to the polls and the YMCA will watch your kids.
The YMCA of Southern Maine is offering free daycare and adding extra staff at their branches in Portland, Biddeford, New Gloucester and Freeport until 7p tonight. If you need a free ride to the polls, check out the Greater Portland Metro schedule at gpmetro.org or call (207)-774-0351.
Voting is so important but can be really difficult if you don't have transportation or if you have small children that don't tolerate long lines. That's why I think that it's pretty fantastic that local organizations support their communities' voters. Thank you to Greater Portland Metro and YMCA!
