Some of the Best Pizza in Portland is Served at Arcadia
If you are in Portland, it's safe to say that the number of places you have to choose from to grab a pizza are the number of places you have to choose from to grab a pizza. A quick search on Google maps shows 15 pizza places on Portland's peninsula alone, and that doesn't include some that aren't listed.
There's one location though right in downtown Portland that you might not have thought of for pizza and if you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out. Arcadia on Congress Street in the former Port City Music Hall space serves up some killer pizza while you're playing video games or pinball that you have to try.
Arcadia, formerly known as Arcadia National Bar, is an arcade bar with two floors of classic video games and pinball machines from the 80s and 90, Skee-Ball, foosball, and space to play tabletop games. It's a little bit of our childhood wrapped into one place, but we're grown up now so we can drink beer while we play Frogger.
When they moved into their new, bigger and better space this year, they added a "Food Court," because they got a really good deal on an old neon sign. So they hung it up on the wall over their pizza kitchen window and it looks pretty sweet.
As for the pizza, a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Behold Arcadia's Spicy Pepperoni Pizza. And it's the pepperoni that curls up when you cook it. The best kind!
It's made with their housemade dough, Calabrian chili and red sauce, and chopped jalapeno. The pepperoni is from Ezzo Sausage Company in Columbus Ohio, which knows how to do pepperoni right.

The staff at Arcadia spend time before opening back up on Congress Street to perfect the pizza-making process and trust me. They got it right. Next time you're there to put up a high score on Galaga or rule the universe on Attack From Mars, grab a pie in between games. You won't regret it.
