South Portland Winter Fest Happening Today, February 1st

South Portland Winter Fest 2020 is in full swing with events happening all day and fireworks lighting up our winter sky at 6:30.

Here are some of today's events from 11 to 3pm:

• Kids' Ice Fishing Derby from noon - 2pm on Hinkley Park's lower pond, 288 Highland Ave., and an ice fishing demo until 2p.
• Events at the South Portland Golf Course: Children's Story Walk and snowshoeing, Geocaching with L.L. Bean and Sled Dog Rides
• Open skating to music, hockey, snacks and hot cocoa with the SPHS Hockey Boosters all happening at Millcreek Pond
• Wainright Farms has food trucks on site all day, skating, a sledding hill with 25 feet of man made snow, horse drawn carriage rides, the famous cardboard sled race and frieworks at 6:30pm

Get outdoors and enjoy some fun with the family today. South Portland is hosting a great event today with something for everyone. Fireworks are going off at an early time, 6:30, so even the little ones can enjoy them.
