A popular Wells pizza joint is receiving top honors for its creative and delicious pies.

The trendy site Far & Wide published a list of the best pizza restaurant in every state. The site utilized Tripadvisor reviews to come up with the tasty list. Maine's representative is a tremendous selection, and one that many people might be surprised to be the selection. It's a place known for big flavor, creative menu choices, and a variety of styles. It's also a place nowhere near Portland, where typically we see the highest rated spots. Far & Wide's Maine choice is Seacoast Pizza & Pasta.

Seacoast has been a culinary sensation since opening over a decade ago. The tasty joint is probably best known for their monstrous New York style thin slices. They are a true culinary dream. However, Seacoast also specializes in the large and thick Sicilian square slice, a totally different and unique pizza experience. Both are authentic home runs.

Far & Wide points out that many of the reviewers rave about Seacoast's vast number of "by-the-slice" options. It's a tribute to all the wonderful pizza shops in New York, where it's easy to roll in, grab a slice and a Coke, roll out, and enjoy the rest of your day. Honestly, I'm surprised more places don't follow this concept, but kudos to Seacoast for nailing it.

Seacoast is also a lot more than just a pizza joint. The popular haunt has classic pasta dishes, Italian-style grinders, and delicious desserts like tiramisu, cannoli, and New York style cheesecake. I highly suggest checking out the menu. Plus, there's pictures!

Congrats to Seacoast for the great online love. It's always wonderful to see a small Maine business get the recognition it deserves, especially one as tasty as Seacoast Pizza & Pasta. We wish them many years of continued success.
